Laura, Your presentation on critical thinking skills was great I actually reflected on my own critical thinking skills. One area that was very interesting was the YouTube video clip concerning critical thinking. I also thought that the placement of the pictures was appropriate. Nice! Val

You did a nice job making your presentation seem like an authentic introduction to a speaker. You visuals were very attractive and effective. Your narration sounded like a professional (I love the southern accent too!). You did an excellent job analyzing the research and synthesizing it into best practices. The conclusion of your video left the audience with a question, just like the rubric specified.
I love how the research that you highlighted was very much aligned with many of the findings in the research that I looked at for student engagement. One study that I examined cited critical thinking as a manifestation of student engagement (Robinson & Hullinger, 2008). They found that an asynchronous environment was ideal to promote critical thinking as it allowed the learner more time to process information and to think more deeply. That is what I love about my Walden classes. I feel like I get much more out of an asynchronous experience because my learning style is one that needs time to process.
It was great meeting with you over Skype and congratulations on a great presentation!

Your presentation on critical thinking was phenomenal! I really enjoyed viewing and listening to you as you presented your information on critical thinking. As I was listening to you, I began reflecting on the importance of critical thinking inside the classroom and how difficult it is to get students to think outside of the norm. Your presentation was very informative.
Your presentation was well thought out and enjoyable to watch. I liked the way that you had the graphic images come in after the slide was presented. Your voice was clear and easy to understand. I think that the research on critical thinking was relevant and directly related to the topic of distance learning.
Your presentation was entertaining and easy to follow. The images included were a great addition to the presentation. Your narration was incredible. You did a great job including so much information in this brief presentation.
