Laura, Your storyboard is impressive! Nice work and easy to follow. So you feel the best practices for using tools in distance learning are blogs, wikkis etc. what about using Skype for open discussions?
Hi Laura, My understanding of the storyboard was that we were to do an outline, so now after seeing yours I am feeling like I am a bit behind. Here are some of my thoughts when I looked over your storyboard:
• Your visual presentation/format and graphics that are done so far are very attractive. • The organization and sequencing are logical and easy to follow. • Slides 5 and 7 have a lot of text. The rubric states that, “the text used in the video is appropriate, and doesn’t use an overreliance on words.” I am wondering if you could give some bullets to summarize and reduce the amount of text and use an audio track to explain in more detail. • I like the Best Practices slide. How do you plan to enhance it…through oral explanation or will you show any video clips?
It looks like you have a great start to your project. I am really looking forward to seeing the final product! Good luck! Cathy
What an attractive, eye-catching storyboard! I think using the picture of students with hands raised as the background added to the quality of your presentation. I used my PowerPoint as the "draft" of my final presentation, which it seems you have also done with yours. It should be easier to convert the "storyboard" information into the final project from this platform.
I think you've done a very good job laying the foundation for your project.
